Genomic Impact of Eukaryotic Transposable Elements

In 2006 we had the privilege to host you at The 1st International Conference and Workshop focusing on the genomic impact of eukaryotic transposable elements. Your overwhelmingly positive response inspired us to organize a second conference centered on the same subject. The conference will include general floor presentations on the biology of TEs and their genomic impact, particularly on gene regulation. General sessions will be followed by workshop sessions focusing on classification and computational analysis of TEs, to celebrate the 18th birthday of Repbase. Also, there will be ample opportunity for poster presentations and informal evening discussions. A preliminary program will be announced in May, 2008.

This international conference is set in the Asilomar Conference Grounds on the southern end of Monterey Bay, CA.
