Title:
CryptonV, a group of target-site specific Crypton DNA transposons from cnidarians.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 12(10), 2034-2034 (2012)
Abstract:
Copies are 98-99% identical to the consensus. This transposon has a strong target-site specificity: it is usually inserted into the (GAAT)n microsatellite, preciselly in between the microsatellite units. The transposon contains 8-bp TIRs. Based on the transposase (tyrosine recombinase) similarity, It belongs to a novel group of Cryptons, called CryptonV. Hydra CryptonV transposons are also target-site specific: they are inserted into the (TAG)n microsatellite.
