Abstract: ~80% identical to consensus. 5bp tsd. This subfamily may be equivalent to human LTR55 and is shared by other Eutherian mammals. This sequence was derived from sequence data generated by Broad Institute Mammalian Genome Project: Elephant. We thank the Broad Institute Genome Sequencing Platform and Genome Sequencing and Analysis Program, Federica Di Palma, and Kerstin Lindblad-Toh for making the data for Loxodonta africana available.
