Abstract:
I-3_BF is a consensus sequence of the young I-1_BF family of non-LTR retrotransposons that belong to the I clade. The I-3_BF consensus sequence has two ORFs. ORF1 codes for a protein that contains the PHD and Zinc knucle domains at its N and C terminal parts. ORF2 codes for a protein composed of the apurinic endonuclease, reverse transcriptase and ribonuclease H.
