Title:
DNA-3-2_NV - a family of non-autonomous DNA transposons from the starlet sea anemone genome.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 8(4), 392-392 (2008)
Abstract:
DNA-3-2_NV elements are flanked by the TTA and TAA targets site duplications. The consensus sequence contains 51-bp TIRs. Termini of DNA-3-2_NV differs from elements that belong to the Harbinger and En/Spm superfamilies, which are also flanked by 3-bp TSDs. It is likely that DNA-3-2_NV belongs to a novel superfamily of DNA transposons, which also includes DNA-3-1_NV. In addition to 3-bp TSDs, these transposons contains the 5'-TGC and GCA-3' termini.
