Abstract:
Kolobok-N10_NV is a consensus sequence of a family of non-autonomous Kolobok transposons. The Kolobok-N10_NV transposon is characterized by 28-bp TIRs and TTAA target site duplications. This family is composed of several thousand elements: while the youngest elements are less than 3% divergent from the consensus sequence, the oldest elements are >20% divergent from the consensus.
