Title:
DNA-2_SP, a family of nonautonomous DNA transposon in the sea urchin genome.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 5(7), 171-171 (2005)
Abstract:
The genome contains ~1000 copies of DNA-2_SP elements that are ~90% identical to their consensus sequence. These elements are characterized by imperfect 62-bp terminal inverted repeats. Target side duplications are not clear. Classification is unknown. Most likely, it is Mariner (TA target site duplications, and preferential insertions into ATAT targets) or Harbinger (TAT target site duplications).
