Title:
Rice DNA transposon ENSPM2_OS.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 5:(2) p.37 (2005)
Abstract:
There are 8 full-length copies of this DNA transposon in the rice genome with >93% similarity to the consensus. Generates 3 bp target site duplications; and has 29 bp imperfect TIRs. The sequence has a 1081 codon ORF including a Tnp2 type transposase domain similar to that found in other En/Spm transposons. This putative protein is 86% similar to the related ORF of ENSPM3_OS; but the DNA sequences are only 70% similar.
