Abstract:
ERV19_MD appears to be a subfamily related to ERV2_MD, but that acquired different LTRs. Together with ERV2_MD, it is the most common retroviral sequence in the Monodelphis genome. The corresponding LTR is ERV18_MD_LTR. This consensus was reconstructed from the June 2005 release of the 6.8X WGS sequence.
