Abstract:
hAT-1_SP is a fossilized copy of an autonomous hAT DNA transposon. It is flanked by 10-bp terminal inverted repeats and share common 100-bp and 70-bp 5' and 3' termini, respectively, with nonautonomous hAT-N1_SP. The 595 hAT-1_SP transposase is encoded by 3 exons (CDS pos. 2100-3185, 3545-3702, 3967-4507). hAT-1_SPp: MPSKVWRVFTKVSSTTVKCTICDRVLGYKGGSTGAMLNHMKTHPNSIEDDRQPRLSSFNRQCNP DRAQRISNLIADMIAKDGLPINFVEGEGFRALMHDVEPDFTIPSRQTVMRILELKFLEQKTKIK HWMSGCEHIAITTDCWTSLGQEGFMTVTAHGIDKEWIKRSFVLNTSPVASLDDNDEDNDPPLPQ RHTSQALKSQLREVAQTWEINNKVCGVVHDNAANVRVIGEAVGAPDVPCTAHTLQLCVNAGLNS NGQLQRVIGAVSRLVGHFKHSVVASQALTAKQDQHNLPKHRLIQSVKTRWNSVYDMFARVTEQR WAITSVLSDERLTLHRDATTLQLKDEHWSIVDNMGKTLEPFLVATKVLSSEEHPTASTVLPMIT GLLDNFLIVEETDSGIVRQFKETTSEQLKRRFHIKSARERDEDVEIEDVSALHLASALDPRYSN LTYLPRAMRNVVKNKLNELIPERDDEEQNADVEQPSTSLDFLITGRRFTAPQQQRDSVEEIHTF FDLPVVPSTADAVAWWKANEASFPLLGNVAKRFLTIPATSVPSERVFSTAGNIVTKKRSCLLAE NVNMLIFLKHNAKSIPLI
