Abstract:
hAT-2_DR is an autonomous DNA transposon. This transposon is characterized by the 8-bp target site duplications and 16-bp terminal inverted repeats. The consensus encodes the 611-aa hAT transposase (pos. 255-2087). The genome contains about 1000 copies of hAT-2_DR nonautonomous elements that are ~97% identical to the consensus. Nearly all these copies are nonautonomous elements. The transposase-encoding elements are present just in 2 copies. hAT-2_DRp: MPANTMDRFLRPPDSKPSSSGLKPKRRRYDDQYLSLGFTWTGPADEPRPLCVVCQDILANDSMR PAKLRRHLETKHDEVAGKPPEFFKRKLQTLQGQKKIVEDFVKLNGKATEASYRVALRIAKAGKA HTTGETLILPAAKDICSVMLGEAAASKIDSVPLSDNTISRRISDMAQDVKEQVLDGVRHSPFYA LQIDESTDVASCAQLLTYVRYVKNMDIHEEFLFSSPLPAHTTGEQIFNQLNEFVRKNDVEWERC CGICSDGAKSMTGRYSGLMSRVKEVAPNAIWTHCTIHRQALAAKKMPNDLRSVLDEAVKIINLI KARPLNARLFHILCDELGAHYKQLLLHTEVRWLSRGRVLSRLLDLREEVLLFLSNVQSTLVQHM SDLSWIARLAYLSDIFERLNALNLSLQGRDCNVFSAFEQVSSFRRKLDLWATRVEKGCLDMFPT LADFMQEAGSVVHIQPLVAEHLRGLCQQFTHYFSNETILDEWIRNPFKFKPAESDVLSIQDEEA LIDLTSNHELQQMITHSSIEHFWLSVQNEFPELTQKALRKLLPFVSTYLCEPEFSALTFIKNKY RSRLQVEDDLRLFLTSLQPRISLLCAARKQLHTTH
