Abstract:
COPIA_MT is a copia-like retrotransposon with ~1240 bp LTRs, and a 5 bp target-site duplication. Average similarity to consensus is 94%. It is most similar to copia-like retrotransposons TORT1 (Lycopersicon esculentum) and PREM2_ZM (Zea mays).
