Abstract:
This is a fossilized copy of En/Spm DNA transposon related to the EnSpmN1_DR nonautonomous element. EnSpm1_DR encodes remnants of the EnSpm1_DR transposase. Transposase: INQKFLKRSWLQGRERRDTAVTGMVRIIEIIHFFADDCRISLNLYIDDFEVTNPLGTSRKKHKMCAIYWV IANLPAKHTSSLHTIQLALLCKTDVVKQHGYSKILRPLIEDLTCLEEQGVYVEQLGSCVRGSVLHVLADN LGAHSLAGFQESFRVNFPCRFCLATRDDIQIKEVRSGSFEMRTKEKHQQHIQDVLQDRTLVAQYGVKSSC PLSDNLKYFHAIGGYPPDLLHDLLEGIVPVELALCLQDLIGKHYFSLDSLNNAIKQFPYKFSDRTDQPQP IPKSYKSKQTIGGNGDENWALLRLLPFLIGHKVKENDHTWEIVMLLKDVVELAFSS The zebrafish genome harbors several diverged families of autonomous En/Spm transposons.
