Abstract:
COPIA4_AG is a young family of copia-like LTR retrotransposons. COPIA4-I_AG, an internal portion of COPIA4_AG is flanked by >99% identical COPIA4-LTR_AG LTRs. The consensus was reconstructed from 6, >98% identical, copies of COPIA4-AG internal sequence. The consensus sequence encodes the 1322-aa COPIA4_AGp protein (positions 112-4077).
