Abstract:
GYPSY8_I is an internal portion of the GYPSY8 endogenous retrovirus. GYPSY8's long terminal repeat is listed in Repbase Update as GYPSY8_LTR. GYPSY8 is relatively old family: GYPSY8_I is flanked by 7% divergent LTRs. The internal sequence is incomplete because of deletions.
