Abstract:
HELITRONY3 is a nonautonomous HELITRON-like DNA transposon. There are ~10 copies of HELITRONY3 in the genome; they are ~95% identical to the consensus sequence. HELITRONY3 elements have been inserted precisely in the AT target sites, without duplication of the host DNA.
