Abstract:
ATLANTYS3I is an internal portion of the ATLANTYS3 endogenous retrovirus. There are several copies of ATLANTYS3I in the genome; they are over 90% identical to each other. Long terminal repeats are deposited in Repbase Update as ATLANTYS3LTR ATLANTYS3I is flanked by 98% identical LTRs and has 5-bp TSD. Like other members of the ATLANTYS superfamily, ATLANTYS3I encodes s hypotetical protein in reverse orientation, instead of env.
