Abstract: SINE_FR2 has a separate origin from SINE-FR1a-d, as the tRNA derived region is dissimilar. It matches tRNA-Gly-GGA (83% bp 10-70). The MER6-like region (bases 80-350) is ~84 % similar to that of SINE_FR1. Average substitution level of copies only 3% (including CpGs).
