Abstract:
ATHILA8ALTR is a long terminal repeat from the ATHILA8A endogenous retrovirus. There are ~20 copies of ATHILA8ALTR in the genome; they are ~95% identical to the consensus sequence. Solo LTRs and proviral copies are flanked by 5-bp target-site duplications. See comments for ATHILA8A_I.
