The closest airports to Asilomar are SFO in San Francisco (2.25 hours driving distance) and SJC in San Jose (1.5 hours driving distance). Attendees should plan to arrive on February 6, to be in time for afternoon registration and a 6:00PM dinner. February 10 is the check-out day and has no sessions but breakfast and lunch will still be provided.

How to get to/from Asilomar

Schedule, directions, and reservations for travel from SFO or SJC to Monterey are available at the site www.montereyairbus.com. Reservations are highly recommended and if made < 24 hours before travel should be done through their telephone number (831-373-7777). They answer the phone promptly.

Vans depart from SFO (and then from SJC) every 1.5 hours from 6:45 to 22:00. The trip from SFO to Monterey is 2.25 hours and that from SJC to Monterey is 1.5 hours. Current rates are SFO-Monterey $45 and SJC-Monterey $35. There is an additional charge of approximately $15 for further transportation to Asilomar, which is situated approximately 3 miles from the van stop in Monterey. Similar prices and schedules apply for the reverse trip.
