Title:
5S ribosomal RNA gene-specific Tx1 non-LTR retrotransposons from the acorn worm.

Abstract:
This consensus is generated from 5 sequences with >97% identity. All copies are followed by 5S ribosomal RNA genes, started with CAGTTCTCGTCCGATCACTG. The 5' flanking sequence is a specer of 5S gene tandem array. Thus this family is likely to be inserted into 5S ribosomal RNA genes. The insertion sites of this family are close to or the same as those of Mutsu elements in zebrafish, although the 5S gene sequences of two species are diverged. This sequence was derived from sequence data generated by Human Genome Sequencing Center at Baylor College of Medicine: the acorn worm genome.
