Abstract:
Harbinger-3N3_VV (mPifvine-3.3 in [1]) is a non-autonomous DNA transposon of the MITE type. Unlike the Harbinger-3N1_VV, this element is not a deletion derivate of the autonomous Harbinger-3_VV but it has the same TIRs as Harbinger-3_VV. Individual copies are >80% identical to the consensus sequence. There is a number of copies that are less conserved. TIRs are 18 bp-long and flanked by 3 bp-long TSDs. There are approximately 600 conserved copies present in the genome.
