Abstract:
This is a relatively old family. Its youngest sequences are >85% identical to consensus. The consensus sequence is similar to the 5'-end of STRIDE families (see STRIDE1-2). It appears that STRIDE families originated by a fusion of the STR1-like sequence with tRNA-derived STRID-like families (see STRID1-4) This sequence was derived from sequence data generated by Broad Institute Mammalian Genome Project.
