Abstract:
MuDR-4_VV (Mutavine-4 in [1]) consensus is a virtual autonomous element. Its individual copies are >90% identical to the consensus sequence but do not contain an intact ORF due to stop codons and/or frameshifts. MuDR-4_VV contains 140-144 bp-long TIRs which are 96% identical to each other, flanked by 9 bp-long TSDs. MuDR-4_VV has an intronless transposase gene. Downstream of the transposase is a putative gene in a reverse orientation virtually encoding for a ULP1-like protein similar to CAN65286.1 (region 5952-4866).
