Abstract: MuDR-3_VV (Mutavine-3 in [1]) consensus is a virtual autonomous element. Its individual copies are >90% identical to the consensus sequence but do not contain an intact ORF due to stop codons and/or frameshifts. MuDR-3_VV contains 155-160 bp-long TIRs which are 96% identical to each other and an intronless transposase gene. Downstream of the transposase there is a non-functional gene in a reverse orientation virtually encoding for a ULP1-like protein similar to CAN69232.1 (region 7314-4751).
