Abstract: MuDR-21_VV (Jitvine-1 in [1]) is an autonomous Jittery-like element of the Mutator superfamily. It's individual copies are >90% identical to the consensus sequence. It does not contain TIRs, but is flanked by 8 bp-long TSDs. Downstream of the transposase gene is a putative gene in the opposite orientation encoding for a ULP1-like protein similar to CAN77890.1.
