Abstract: piggyBac-9_SM is a young family of piggyBac transposons, characterized by 12-bp TIRs and TTAA target-site duplications. The consensus sequence was reconstructed based on multiple alignment of 26 copies, which are ~98% identical to the consensus sequence.
