Abstract:
DNA-3-1_NV elements are flanked by the TTA and TAA targets site duplications. The consensus sequence contains 51-bp TIRs. Termini of DNA-3-1_NV differs from elements that belong to the Harbinger and En/Spm superfamilies, which are also flanked by 3-bp TSDs. It is likely that DNA-3-1_NV belongs to a novel superfamily of DNA transposons, which also includes the DNA-3-2_NV family.
