Abstract:
Chapaev3-2_PM belongs to the Chapaev3 group of the Chapaev superfamily of DNA transposons (see comments on Chapaev3-1_PM). Chapaev3-2_PM is a young family of lamprey Chapaev3 transposons: genomic copies of Chapae3-2_PM elements are ~96% identical to their consensus sequence, which was derived from multiple alignment of 25 Chapaev3-2_PM elements. Chapaev3-2_PM contains 13-bp terminal inverted repeats and encodes a 547-aa transposase.
