Abstract:
Kolobok-N16_NV is a consensus sequence of a family of non-autonomous Kolobok transposons. The Kolobok-N16_NV transposon is characterized by ~1000-bp TIRs and TTAA target site duplications. This transposon contains insertions of Penelope-5_NV, DNA-5-2_NV, and DNA-7-5_NV elements (they are masked out by Ns). This family is composed of ~300 elements that are ~3% divergent from the consensus sequence.
