Title: hAT-3_XT, a family of autonomous hAT DNA transposons from frog. |

Abstract: hAT-3_XT elements form a young autonomous family of hAT DNA transposons characterized by 8-bp TSDs and 17-bp TIRs (1 mismatch). The genome harbors only several copies of hAT-3_XT (~98% identical to the consensus). The consensus sequence encodes a 612-aa hAT-3_XTp transposase and shares common TIRs with Chap8_XT.
