Title:
MER135: Conserved mammalian repeat, probably derived from a non-autonomous DNA transposon.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 6(7), 388-388 (2006)
Abstract:
This is a relatively abundant repeat: ~500 copies in the human genome. Its palindromic structure suggests that this is a non-autonomous transposon-derived repeat. It shows distant similarity to microRNA ppa-mir-224.
