Title:
EULOR2A: A repetitive sequence common for chicken and mammals.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 6(7), 364-364 (2006)
Abstract:
Like EULOR1, this repeat is present in chicken (~200 copies phg) and mammals (>150 copies phg). It is about equally split in two subfamilies described by consensus EULOR2A and 2B, differing mainly by the internal indel 31 bp long. The EULOR2A and 2B consensi are based on bird sequences. Mammalian consensi are somewhat shorter , ~91% identical to bird consensus. Like Eulor1, Eulor2 subfamilies also have a characteristic hairpin-tail structure.
