Abstract: This is an internal portion of Gypsy-9_CR LTR retrotransposon. It encodes one 2689-aa polyprotein composed of gag, reverse transcriptase, PHD zinc finger, and integrase. This polyprotein is characterized by unusually long distance between the reverse transcriptase and integrase (~800 aa). The internal portion contains also a second ORF2 (pos. 9768-11813), which may be artificial because of the high GC content.
