Title:
LTR37_MD, a family of long terminal repeats from the opossum M. domestica.

Abstract:
LTR37_MD is a non-autonomous LTR element, probably of an ERV. Average similarity of copies to the consensus is around 96%. It is 84% similar along 2/3 of its length to LTR16_MD, but high similarity within these groups suggests separate families. The autonomous element corresponding to this LTR is unknown. This consensus was reconstructed from the June 2005 release of the 6.8X WGS sequence.
