Abstract:
SINE3-1_AO is a family of SINE3-like retrotranposons in the A. oryzae genome. The 63-bp 5' termini was derived from 5S rRNA (pos. 3-65, 98% identity to the A. oryzae 5S rRNA) and includes the polIII internal promoter. There are several families of SINE3-1_AO like elements in the A. nidulans, A. fumigatus, and A. oryzae genomes.
