Abstract: RTE-1_DR is a non-LTR retrotransposon that belongs to the RTE clade. Copies of RTE-1_DR are ~1% divergent form the consensus sequence. RTE-1_DR encodes a 1049-aa protein composed of endonuclease and reverse transcriptase domains.
