Title: Rice Gypsy LTR retrotransposon. |

Journal: Repbase Reports 5:(3) p.47 (2005) |
Abstract: 962 bp LTR is COPIA2-LTR_OS. This copia-type retrotransposon appears to have been active recently in the rice genome, as there are numerous intact copies which are 99% or more similar to the consensus. The internal sequence contains a long uninterrupted ORF that has an integrase domain. The element is flanked in the genome by 5 bp TSDs.
