Abstract: This non-autonomous element has characteristic internal/LTR regions of an ERV, but has no coding capacity. The internal sequence is similar to NERV1_MD, but this element has different LTRs. Copies are numerous and ~90% similar to the consensus. The autonomous counterpart is not identified. This consensus was reconstructed from the June 2005 release of the 6.8X WGS sequence.
