Title:
Helitron-N3_SP, a family of nonautonomous Helitrons in the sea urchin genome.
Journal:
Repbase Reports 5(11), 396-396 (2005)
Abstract:
The genome contains ~1000 copies of Helitron-N3_SP. Target site: TTA-TT, where "-" is an insertion position; no target site duplications. Terminal palindromes: 5'-TTATCCCCTCGCCGACGAAGTCGGAGGGGATATAGTAACG |-------> |--> <--|<-------| Helitron-N3_SP does not have the 3' palindrome. Helitrons (Helitron-N1_SP, Helitron-N2_SP, Helitron-N3_SP) constitute ~1% of the sea urchin genome.
