Title:
ERV9_MD, a class 1 endogenous retrovirus from the opossum M. domestica.

Abstract:
This endogenous retroviral element has 793 bp LTRs that are deposited as ERV9_MD_LTR. Copies are ~90% similar to the consensus, and reconstruction of a 1460 aa ORF was possible, encoding a putative gag-pol. This consensus was reconstructed from the June 2005 release of the 6.8X WGS sequence.
