Abstract:
Copies of this element in the genome average around 90% similarity to the consensus. Two ORFs putatively encode reverse transcriptase, integrase functions. The LTR is deposited as ERV6_MD_LTR. This consensus was reconstructed from the June 2005 release of the 6.8X WGS sequence.
