ERV11_MD, a recently-active class 1 endogenous retrovirus from the opossum M. domestica.

Abstract:
ERV11_MD is a class I ERV, that appears to have been active relatively recently; there are numerous genomic copies that are >98.5% similar to this consensus. The coding regions also appear to be relatively intact in the consensus. The corresponding LTR is ERV11_MD_LTR. This consensus was reconstructed from the June 2005 release of the 6.8X WGS sequence.
