Abstract:
This element is characterized by 8-bp terminal inverted repeats and 2-bp target site duplications. Its classification is not certain yet, although it is expected to be a member of the hAT or MuDR superfamily. The DNA-8-2_DR copies are ~89% identical to the consensus sequence. There are several hundred copies of this element present in the genome.
