Abstract: Gypsy3-LTR_CI is a long terminal repeat of the Gypsy3_CI LTR retrotrasposon. There are ~100 Gypsy3-LTR_CI elements in the C. intestinalis genome. They are ~95% identical to the consensus sequence, and represent several subfamilies that are even younger. The Gypsy3-I_CI internal sequence is not known yet, although ~50-bp PBS encoded by it is 90% identical to the Gypsy2_CI PBS.
