Title:
MARINERN6_AG: a family of nonautonomous mariner/Tc1-like DNA transposons from African malaria mosquito.

Repbase Reports 3:(2) p. 23 (2003)
Abstract:
There are ~100 copies of MARINERN6_AG in the genome. They are ~99% identical to the consensus sequence. MARINERN6_AG copies are flanked by 2-bp target site duplications. This element has imperfect 12-bp terminal inverted repeats. Putative classification: a nonautonomous Mariner/Tc1-like DNA transposon. One copy of MARINERN6_AG has been inserted into a HARBINGERN2_AG element and multiplied in a few copies as a composite subfamily of HARBINGERN2_AG.
