Abstract:
LTR1_DR is a long terminal repeat of unidentified endogenous retrovirus. The consensus sequence was reconstructed from 20 copies, which are ~88% identical to it. LTR1_DR copies are flanked by 5-bp target site duplications. There are multiple subfamilies of this LTR present in the genome; it harbors several thousand copies of LTR1_DR-like elements.
